This Program Outline documents relevant program details and registration process for families that are joining the LFCIA Mississauga program.
COMMITMENT
The program prepares players for the High-Performance pathway and requires the players to demonstrate dedication and commitment towards all their team events. The program runs continuously for 12 months with the exception of scheduled breaks and certain holidays.

OPEN TALENT ID SESSIONS
Prior to being invited to register, all players are required to attend LFC IA Mississauga Open Trials on

PLAYER COMMITMENT LETTER
All players are required to sign an OPDLPlayer Commitment Letter to confirm their place on the team. LFC IA willprocess your commitment letter during your registration via PlayMetrics.
ROSTER SIZES + DEVELOPMENTPLAYERS (“DP”)
Coaches are permitted to carry up to twenty (20) full-time players on the roster. Additional development players may also be added to the roster in addition to the full-time players. Development Players train consistently with the OPDL team but compete mainly with a regional team. Development players are allowed to participate in up to six (6) games per season.
INDOOR LEAGUE PLAY (2025/2026)
OPDL U13 Boys and Girls
For the 2025/2026 season, Ontario Soccer has introduced a new 9v9format for the U13 age group. This structure provides a larger pool of players with the opportunity to develop over the next 12 months in preparation for the transition to the 11v11 game at U14. As part of this program, players will also participate in a Winter League, with each selected team playing nine League games.
OPDL U14 - U17 Boys and Girls
No indoor league play allowed in the Winter. Selected age groups are permitted to participate in the Futsal League organized by Ontario Soccer, or the Futsal Championships.

Indoor turf sessions - 2/Week
Gym Futsal session- 1/week
Strength and Conditioning session at The Lab - 1/Week for 10 Weeks
May 12 to October 24, 2025
*All training facility locations are subject to permit availability. Gymnasiums are available subject to school availability, exceptions dates, and school closures.
HOLIDAYS
Unless the team participates in holiday festivals or tournaments, the dates below do not have any regular training scheduled.

LFC UNIFORMS –IMPORTANT UPDATE
Liverpool FC has transitioned from Nike to Adidas as its official uniform supplier. As a result, all players in LFC IA Mississauga will be required to purchase a new Adidas kit package for the upcoming fall season. This package will include Home, Away, Training, and program-specific items.
We want this change to be as seamless as possible for our families. In the weeks ahead, we’ll share a clear, step-by-step plan for convenient on-site fittings and how you’ll receive your order directly from our local trusted distributor.
We’ll also be opening a new fanstore this fall where you can pick up extra like hoodies, and other LFC gear. We can’t wait to see our teams and supporters sporting the new look this season!
REGISTRATION
To secure your spot on a team, you must register and complete your first payment within 72 hours of receiving the contract. Please register via PlayMetrics, where you'll also sign your offer. Players have 72 hours from the time of contract issuance to accept your invitation and finalise your agreement.
Extensions: In certain circumstances, we may extend the 72-hour window. Please speak with your coach for assistance.

PROGRAM FEE
We’re excited to welcome your child toanother great season of soccer. To make things easier for families, we’ve setup a simple payment schedule that spreads fees evenly throughout the year.

PAYMENT METHODS
The Club has transitioned to a cashless system through PlayMetrics. Families can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Visa Debit without additional fees. E-transfers are not accepted.
LATE PAYMENTS
PlayMetrics will automatically charge your payment method on the specified date. Families will receive a notification if there's an issue with the payment. If card declines aren't resolved within 48 hours, a $20 late fee applies. Most payment issues can be resolved directly within the PlayMetrics app.
ADDITIONAL TEAM FEES
The Club fees listed herein do not include expenses such as tournaments, league fines, team events, exhibition games, additional team equipment, etc. Once your Coach and Manager finalize the season budget, they will inform families of all additional team fees.
REFUNDS
All refunds/cancellations are subject to the Refund Policy available on the website. Cancellations due to inclement weather are not eligible for refunds.
FEE ASSISTANCE
Fee assistance programs are available via KidSport and Jumpstart. You can apply to both, and certain programs accept multiple applications annually. Please verify with the respective funder.
ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Since 2014, the Athlete Scholarship Program, has provided more than $700,000.00 in grants to deserving athletes& families in the effort to defray the cost of participating in the OPDL program. Applications for Athlete Scholarship grants, ranging from $500-$1,500, are submitted by OPDL License Holders, on behalf of interested families within their OPDL program. Funds are sent directly to OPDL License Holders, who then pass on the respective amount to the recipient family/families.
