Grassroots Development - Program Overview

This Program Outline documents relevant program details and registration process for families that are joining the LFC IA Mississauga program.

COMMITMENT

The program prepares players for the competitive pathway and requires the players to demonstrate dedication and commitment towards all their team events. The program runs continuously for 12-months with the exception of scheduled breaks and certain holidays.

TALENT ID SESSIONS

Prior to being invited to register, all players are required to attend LFC IA Mississauga Talent ID Sessions. Full details and schedule available at www.LFCIAMiss.ca

September 2024:

All new and returning players must attend.

March & April 2025:

New player intake; based on divisional capacities.

Ongoing Talent ID Sessions:

The Club may allow in-season Talent ID Sessions,based on the pool of players.

HOLIDAYS

Unless the team participates in holiday festivals or tournaments, the dates below do not have any regular training scheduled.


UNIFORMS

Unless otherwise mandated by LFC, LFC IA Mississauga will not require returning families to buy a completely new kit in 2024/2025 (Year 2). Instead, they can purchase specific items necessary for their child. While this is LFC IA Mississauga's policy, any directives from LFC will take precedence.

Parents and members of the public will be able to order from the supporters fanware website via our supplier, Team Litzen. Further details will be provided soon.

The uniform kit is an additional fee for the 2024/25 season.

REGISTRATION

Registrations will be accepted via PlayMetrics. Players will receive their invite to register on or before September 13, 2024.
To secure your place onto a team, you must register and make your first payment on or before September 16, 2024.

PAYMENT METHODS

The Club has transitioned to a cashless system through PlayMetrics. Families can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Visa Debit without additional fees. E-transfers are not accepted.


LATE PAYMENTS

PlayMetrics will automatically charge your payment method on the specified date. Families will receive a notification if there's an issue with the payment. If card declines aren't resolved within 48 hours, a $20 late fee applies. Most payment issues can be resolved directly within the PlayMetrics app.


ADDITIONAL TEAM FEES

The Club fees listed herein do not include expenses such as tournaments, league fines, team events, exhibition games, additional team equipment, etc. Once your Coach and Manager finalize the season budget, they will inform families of all additional team fees.


REFUNDS

All refunds/cancellations are subject to the Refund Policy available on the website. Cancellations due to inclement weather are not eligible for refunds.


FEE ASSISTANCE

Fee assistance programs are available via KidSport and Jumpstart. You can apply to both, and certain programs accept multiple applications annually. Please verify with the respective funder.
